Revolution, Empire, Frozen 2, RSPB. What do they all have in common? Yep, that’s right. They’re all editions of Monopoly. The ones I have, at least. During a spring clear out, my 4 editions were all neatly stacked in a box that went stright back on a shelf in the garage. Why don’t I donate or sell them? You ask. They’re special and something worth keeping.

After 12 hours of de-cluttering: tools, furniture, toys and other miscellaneous items gathered in my house on a warm bank holiday Monday, a well-deserved glass of Coca Cola and a lay down on the sofa later, images of each of my Monopoly’s crept into my head (no, I’m not Aphantasic in case you’re wondering) so I began wondering, ”If I have four different editions of Monopoly, just HOW many editions of Monopoly are there?”

That question leads me to here. Scrolling through the internet, to my utter disbelief, I could not find a single website that listed all the Monopoly editions. ”Surely there would be a blog stating them” I thought. Especially at how renowned Monopoly is across the world, and has been for decades.

So, to answer my question and enlighten other Monopoly players, collectors, enthusiasts or just the curious minded like me, I am going to try and find out.

I’ll try not to go to jail while I’m at it.
